All areas of
construction must live up to Classic Reflections high standards! Only the highest grade of materials with a minimum thickness
of 2” is acceptable for us. While
other pool builders may install coping which varies greatly in
thickness, you will find that ours is beautifully consistent. The mortar joints are typically
sawn at about 3/8”. We
think you should see the coping, not a lot of mortar. Details, details, details!

There are many choices of coping. We have a large selection to
choose from. You may come
to the office to decide on which color of brick, or maybe one of the
beautiful slates or flagstones would suit you better.
Classic
Reflections uses a special method of installation to avoid the problem
of the coping separating from the deck or beam of the pool. The back of the bond beam is
notched, to allow a place for the deck to set and a 1/2” (as opposed
to other builders ¼” or 3/8”) foam expansion joint is placed
between the deck and the coping.
This expansion joint is capped with a waterproof epoxy (your
choice of color) and acts to isolate the coping from potentially
damaging deck movement.
