Your pool decking is
one of the most visible portions of your pool. It is imperative that it be
practical as well as beautiful. Colored
aggregates, stamped concrete, salt finish concrete and numerous types of
stone are only a few the decking options available to you.
We also have a great selection of beautiful,
long lasting, low maintenance wood decks.
Brazilian Palope, (which looks like a gorgeous hardwood floor),
White Cypress from the Pacific Northwest or a number 1 grade Redwood can
easily be installed around your pool.

You will know how
well your pool and deck have been designed when you throw your first big
party. Do you have plenty
of space to spread out, or are you all bunched up elbow to elbow? A good rule of thumb for the
minimum amount of decking, is one to two times the square footage of
your pool.
It is wise to design
the deck to have several separate areas for entertaining. An area to relax and catch the sun’s rays is important. It must be situated in the
portion of your yard which receives the most sun and large enough for
several chaise lounges. Equally
as important are the main dining and entertaining areas. Walkways to and from these
different sections should be of a comfortable width (normally three to
four feet). Your designer
will take many things into consideration when customizing your pool.
The
construction of any concrete or stone decks (with a concrete sub deck)
will determine how well they stand the test of time. Classic Reflections uses 3/8”
rebar in our decks instead of wire mesh with a three to four inch sand
bed. All sub-deck soils are
compacted and piers and beams are installed whenever necessary. A minimum strength of 3000 PSI concrete is used in the
construction of all of our decks. These
techniques are specifically designed to deal with the stress of the
expansion and contraction of Texas’s
unpredictable soils. Redwood
expansion joints are placed liberally throughout the deck.
