Since
gunite is not waterproof, or very smooth, it will be covered with a
waterproof finish coat.
The traditional (and least expensive) finish is plaster, however
new products are arriving on the industry scene almost daily.

These
products have characteristics which make them more durable and less
likely to discolor over time.
Products such as PEBBLE TEC® and Diamond Brite™ have a beautiful appearance, but they are rougher in texture
than Durrazo™, 3M™
Colorquartz™ or the traditional plaster.
We recommend the smoother finishes over the aggregates.
(I’ve personally put band aids and ointment on my kids raw,
bloody toes so they could go to sleep after having played in a friends
pool with a rough surface.)
Every pool we build is tailored to the owners and their families
specific needs and requests.
Each product line has different standard colors available,
however Classic Reflections can custom mix any color you desire.
We will recommend different colors based on style of pool,
location and overall desired appearance.
