This
is the next phase of construction and is vital to the strength of the
pool.Although steel
schedules vary from builder to builder, the average pool builders will
place the 3/8” steel, 10” O.C.E.W.This may be fine for non-expansive soil conditions but there
still may be a risk of your pool shell cracking.Steel is cheap life insurance
for your pool!The minimum
steel schedule Classic Reflections incorporates, is 3/8“ steel, 8”
O.C.E.W. with alternates 4” O.C. at stress points and portions of the
pool deeper than 5’.Certain
regions and areas around the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex have higher
concentrations of clay in the soil.In these more expansive soil areas, we raise the bar to½”steel, 10” O.C.E.W.
On pools 5’ or deeper, we add alternates so the steel
is actually 5” on centers.Your
pool will also have four bar box of ½“ steel incorporated into a
12” x 12” gunite beam, which runs completely around the top of the
pool.Most pool builders
only incorporate a 6” x 12” roll beam.The 12” x 12” box beam is
300% stronger than the 6”x 12” roll beam!
